Paws for a thought

No Room in your suitecase for a yoga mat?

Throw in a set of YogaPaws instead.

Gail Getzwiller wants everyone to be able to practice yoga everywhere.  That's why she and her daugher Jamie invented Yoga-Paws, a set of pads for your hands and feet that replicate the stickiness of a yoga mat.  Getzwiller, a yoga teacher and founder of Yoga-Syz Sonoita, Arizona, designed the pads to be used on any nonabrasive surface, including yoga mats, but they're especially useful for more slippery surfaces such as towels, carpets, and nonvinyl mats.

The hand pads fit much like cycling gloves, with a little thong that fits between your index and middle fingers to keep the pad in place.  The foot pads cover the ball of your foot, and the thong goes between your big toe and second toe.  They work reasonably well!

They're pretty cool -- and so small, lightweight, and reasonably priced thats worth keeping a pair permanently in your bag or suitecase for those moments when you're moved to practive and there isn't a mat in sight.   M.B.
