Using Crystals in Your Yoga Practice

Healing crystals in your practiceWant to give your yoga practice a boost?  Crystals and gemstones are common tools in the yoga world to help bring high energy, positive intentions, and good vibes into your practice.  Whether you are looking to help manifest an intention, seek inspiration, expand your compassion and love, or increase mental strength, crystals can help you achieve what you most desire.

Merging yoga and crystals can help you deepen your yoga practice and take you on a journey of self-exploration!  Using crystals is a personal practice and varies with each yogi individually.  Because of this, people choose different crystals for different reasons.  Trust your intuition when choosing which crystal to incorporate into your practice, and where you choose to place them.  Everyone will resonate with different crystals, and you may also be drawn to certain crystals on different days.  Here are some ideas for using crystals in your yoga practice:

Place Crystals Around Your Mat

Placing crystals around your mat while practicing can help you absorb the benefits of the stones while flowing.  If you’re looking for grounding or even increased energy, this is a great way to use crystals in your practice.  Healing crystals can also be placed on your mat to help you relieve stress and anxiety, as well.


Meditate with Crystals

Meditating with crystals helps to magnify your energy and boost the intention behind your meditation practice.  Try laying stones on different areas of your body to help you meditate and absorb the healing properties of the crystals.  It is helpful to choose crystals with energies that are in line with your intention, or what you hope to achieve from your meditation.


Carry them in Your Pocket

The more contact you have with a crystal, the more awareness you’ll have of its energy.  You can carry a crystal with you in your pocket or purse, and pull it out whenever you need to center yourself or bring your attention back to the intention you’re working towards.


Wear Crystals as Jewelry

Wearing crystals as Jewelry is more than just accessorizing -- you are raising your energetic vibration.  Each crystal you wear has meaning and a purpose based on what you want to work on or manifest that day.  Crystal jewelry can come in many different forms including mala beads, necklaces, bracelets, rings or even earrings.  Choose what calls to you and will help boost your energy, and heal and connect your mind, body, and spirit.
